The new Meliá Ibiza in Santa Eulalia opened its doors last month after the transformation of Sol Beach House Ibiza. The hotel now offers 285 rooms, four restaurants, a rooftop with unique views of the Mediterranean with a skybar, an outdoor swimming pool, a 24-hour gym and a spa and wellness area with Thai-inspired treatments, among other facilities and experiences.
Meliá’s first adults-only hotel on the island is also the first hotel with an outdoor water circuit in the area.
To celebrate the opening Meliá Ibiza will partner, during its first season, with social impact company Gravity Wave to remove three tonnes of plastic from the Mediterranean Sea and its harbours. The waste will then be repurposed to create new objects for the hotel’s use, giving it a new life.
Meliá Lloret de Mar, Meliá Hotels International’s latest five-star hotel, opened in May in the Costa Brava region.
