Civica, a global GovTech champion supporting the needs of citizens and those that serve them every day, announces the appointment of Christopher Smith as its Executive Vice President and Managing Director for the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region. Chris joins Civica’s Executive Committee, reporting to CEO Lee Perkins.
With more than 25 years of experience in the technology and telecommunications sectors, Chris is recognised for his leadership in driving growth, profitability and transformation. Over the course of his career, Chris has successfully delivered on these outcomes by developing and executing strategic initiatives, as well as through mergers and acquisitions and large-scale organisational transformation. Prior to joining Civica, Chris served as Managing Director at Wipro in Australia and New Zealand and held senior leadership roles at Telstra, Australia’s largest telecommunications company. He also worked with leading software companies in the UK and USA.
In his new role at Civica, Chris will be responsible for driving business operations, growth and strategy across the APAC region, ensuring these align with Civica’s global objectives. His leadership will be pivotal in expanding Civica’s presence and enhancing its customer relationships in this dynamic market.
