CIBT Global, Inc. (“CIBT” or the “Company”), a leading provider of global mobility services, is pleased to announce Elizabeth Kumbhari has joined the company as Vice President for Client Relationship Management, Americas Immigration.
Elizabeth comes to CIBT from Amazon, where she most recently served as the Business Advisory, Canada and Latin America Lead. She brings a diverse background in visa services to her new role at CIBT. Prior to her work at Amazon, Elizabeth led one of the largest J-1 visa programs at Cultural Visas, where she held the roles of General Counsel and Vice President of Professional Exchange Programs. She also has experience in the academic sector having been the Director of International Offices for both Long Island University and Northern Kentucky University.
In her role at CIBT, Elizabeth will work with both the CIBT and Newland Chase brands.
“I am excited to join CIBT at this period of growth for the company,” Elizabeth said. “Following the COVID pandemic, many organizations are looking towards international travel again. This is a huge opportunity for CIBT to grow our client base.”
Elizabeth holds a Doctorate in Organizational Leadership and Learning (EdD) from Vanderbilt University, where her research focused on identifying characteristics of successful overseas assignments (expats) at Global Fortune 500 companies. She also holds a J.D. from Northern Kentucky University. She is licensed to practice law in both Ohio and Washington, D.C. Elizabeth has been a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) and was on their Board of Publications in 2020-2021.
In addition to her role at CIBT, Elizabeth will serve on Worldwide ERC’s Board of Directors beginning in 2024. She is also the Secretary of the Board of Directors at Global Ties, US, and a Board Member for The Letter Project. In the past she was Chair of NAFSA’s Embassy Dialogue Committee, wrote nonprofit leadership articles for Forbes, and was a Board member for Institute of One World Leadership.
