Waldorf Astoria Cancun announces hotel’s executive leadership team

Waldorf Astoria Cancun, set to open in November 2022 adjacent to the upscale Hilton Cancun, an All-Inclusive Resort announces George Stanfield as managing director leading the hotel’s executive leadership team.  In this role, Stanfield oversees all aspects of guest experience and operations at both Waldorf Astoria Cancun and Hilton Cancun, where he has been managing the all-inclusive resort since its debut last year.

Hospitality has always been in Stanfield’s blood as his father was a hotelier and he spent his childhood living in hotels around the world. With more than 25 years of hospitality experience, Stanfield began his career with Hilton in 1995 and gained experience in operations and commercial roles working at properties such as Hilton Orlando Lake Buena Vista and Washington Hilton. He’s held leadership positions at Hilton properties across the Caribbean and Latin America, including Hilton Hotels & Resorts properties in Cancun, Curacao and Barbados Prior to his current position, he served as general manager at Hilton Buenos Aires where his leadership and passion for hospitality contributed to the property earning several national and international awards including Argentina’s Best MICE Hotel in 2020 and the World Travel Awards in 2019 and 2020.

Stanfield holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Webber International University.
