The AAA Four Diamond-rated Sonesta Resort Hilton Head Island has named Scott Etchberger as its new Human Resources Director.
In his new position, Etchberger is responsible for overseeing the 340- room resort’s Human Resources department, which includes recruiting, hiring, onboarding and training programs for the resort’s team, as well as overseeing employees’ benefit packages.
Etchberger joins the 11-acre resort from the 1,249-room Hilton Atlanta in downtown Atlanta, Georgia, where he served as Interim Human Resources Director and prior to that as Assistant Director of Human Resources.
His extensive experience also includes serving for 11 years as Human Resources Manager II for Hilton Sedona Resort at Bell Rock in Sedona, Arizona; and for seven years as the Vice President and co-owner of the retail gift business Soothe Your Soul Gift Gallery in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania and Sedona, Arizona. Previous to that he was Manager of Visitor Center Services & Training for Hershey Company in Hershey, Pennsylvania.
