Wharf Hotels has appointed Roger Shing and Carol Tsai as Group Director Purchasing and Group Director Revenue Management & Distribution respectively.
Wharf Hotels has appointed Roger Shing as Group Director Purchasing, strengthening its purchasing power with Roger as a respected new member of its robust Finance division. Spearheading the group’s procurement strategy, Roger will lead the pre-opening procurement programmes for new hotels, formulate strategic plans to develop new hotel products, guide purchasing decisions to support the group’s branding strategies, and establish standards across Wharf Hotels’ purchasing teams.
Formerly Corporate Director of Procurement for Rosewood Hotel Group based in Hong Kong, Roger oversaw 12 hotels in the region for its 3 brands, formulating strategic plans and purchasing standards. Previous roles included careers with Renaissance Harbour View Hotel Hong Kong and the Furama Hotel.
A member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS), Institute of Purchasing and Supply of Hong Kong (IPSHK), Roger holds a degree in business administrative management from the University of South Australia.

Revenue management professional, Ms. Carol Tsai, has joined Wharf Hotels as Group Director Revenue Management and Distribution, taking the lead on crafting new strategy for more profitable revenue share across Niccolo and Marco Polo Hotels. Formerly with Banyan Tree Hotels and Resorts based in Phuket subsequent to her revenue role with Outrigger Hotels and Resorts for Asia Pacific, Carol brings with her a wealth of knowledge in rate analysis, dynamic pricing and OTA management.
A Masters graduate in Hotel and Food Service Management from Florida International University, Carol completed a stint with Mandarin Oriental Macau before expanding her role into the region.
