The Renaissance Denver Downtown City Center Hotel, located within one of the state’s most famous and historic buildings – the former Colorado National Bank Building – has announced the appointment of Lori Zafft as its assistant general manager. Zafft joins the team with nearly three decades of experience in the hospitality industry and almost twenty years of management experience.
After graduating from the University of Nebraska in Lincoln, Nebraska, Zafft served various roles in the hospitality industry, including group reservation agent, food & beverage supervisor, senior event manager, director of hotel operations and more.
Most recently, Zafft was the resident manager for Marriott Denver City Center, where she managed rooms-related departments, such as the front office, housekeeping, valet, loss prevention and more. She became a market champion for Breakthrough Leadership, aiding multiple properties in setting successful guest experience strategies and executing various training systems.

At the Renaissance Denver Downtown, Zafft will continue to lead on-property teams in achieving top levels of guest and event satisfaction, profit growth, and implementing new service strategies by using evaluative process and bringing insight and value to the hotel’s initiatives.
Outside of her day-to-day role, Zafft is involved in various non-profit organisations including Family Tree, Children’s Hospital, Habitat for Humanity, the Giving Tree, Family Homestead, and Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.
