Kadún Hotel, the newest addition to the Mexico Grand Hotels, has introduced a new coffee table book that captures the spirit, history, and cultural identity of Baja California Sur. Conceived as both a keepsake and a storytelling piece, the book offers readers a deeper look into the region that inspired the hotel’s design, philosophy, and sense of place.

Created as a visual and narrative journey, the book explores the history and legacy of the Pericúes, the Indigenous people who once inhabited the southernmost part of the Baja California peninsula, while also tracing defining moments that helped shape the destination over time. Through literary reflection, historical context, and bilingual storytelling, readers are invited to discover themes of ancestry, territory, daily life, cultural exchange, and the enduring connection between land and sea.

Beautifully designed, the coffee table book is brought to life through striking illustrations, historical maps, archival references, and imagery that reflect both the mystique and beauty of Baja California Sur. Together, these elements create a layered portrait of the region and offer a meaningful extension of the experience Kadún aims to provide its guests.

“Kadún was created as a reflection of Baja California Sur, its history, its culture, and its evolving identity,” said Gabriel Ibarra Macias, Sales & Marketing Director of Kadún Hotel. “This book gives us the opportunity to share that inspiration in a tangible way and to honor the heritage and stories that helped shape this place.”

More than a book, it is a tribute to the identity that informs every corner of Kadún. Located in the heart of Cabo San Lucas, Kadún Hotel offers a contemporary, design-forward perspective on the destination. The 110-room boutique hotel is defined by sculptural wood paneling, woven natural textures, handcrafted details, locally inspired ceramics and masks, vivid cultural artwork, and soft, organic lighting, all of which create a warm, modern atmosphere rooted in Baja.

With the debut of the coffee table book, guests and readers alike are invited to engage with Baja California Sur beyond the traditional travel experience. The book serves not only as a lasting memento, but also as an introduction to Kadún’s place-driven storytelling and the rich cultural legacy behind it. The coffee table book is now available for purchase online and in the hotel’s gift shop.
