SO/ Auckland has opened an exclusive new Club Signature lounge, coinciding with the hotel’s first birthday celebration this month.
Club Signature is a luxurious and vibrant space with VIP services available for guests. WORLD design director Benny Castles has contributed his artistic design expertise to this private haven drawing inspiration from the city’s volcanic landscapes and furnishings with rich textures and bold avant-garde designs.
“We wanted to make the hotel’s Club Signature Members feel the exuberance and sophistication that is true to the spirit of SO/ Auckland,” explained Mr Castles.
“It is a space like no other in Auckland, both exclusive and welcoming, inner-city elegance and intimacy paired with the most unique hidden outdoor deck providing guests with a fresh urban viewpoint. WORLD has touched this space with a little color and curiousness just in case you need distracting from work or company with your cocktail.”
The iconographic use of the SO/ Auckland emblem and pattern throughout the Club Signature tells the story of the hotel’s locality with guests experiencing a similar, yet more relaxing, hypnotic feeling as when they enter the hotel’s lobby MIXO.
Located on the 2nd floor of SO/ Auckland with its own bar and balcony, Club Signature is a tranquil and relaxing retreat offering breakfast, a signature afternoon tea and evening canapés along with refreshments available all day long. The Club Signature lounge is accessible exclusively to SO Club and Suite guests with an array of complimentary Club Signature benefits.
Located in the heart of the city and occupying the former Reserve Bank, SO/Auckland has become one of the city’s most Instagrammable hot spots since it opened in November 2019. Hotel guests also have access to, a heated indoor swimming pool and a SO/ Well and fitness center, situated in the old bank vault.
Playing on the volcanic theme, guests can choose their room design style from Vapour, Liquid and Solid in all SO Cozy, SO Comfy, SO Club and SO Studio rooms.
SO/ Auckland is also home to the city’s popular HI-SO rooftop bar, with expansive views over Waitemata Harbour and Rangitoto Island, while Michelin-starred French Chef Marc de Passorio helms the kitchen at Harbour Society restaurant.
