The American Hotel & Lodging Association (AHLA) has announced Rosanna Maietta as its new president & CEO, effective Nov. 14.
Maietta, a seasoned executive with extensive experience in public affairs, association management, and strategic leadership, returns to AHLA with a deep understanding of its mission and a strong network among its key stakeholders.
Her previous roles at AHLA include president & CEO of the AHLA Foundation and executive vice president of communications and public relations, giving her a strong foundation to lead the organization forward.
AHLA leaders, including Chair Kevin Jacobs and Vice Chair Mitch Patel, express high confidence in Maietta’s leadership and strategic vision. Jacobs, CFO & President, Global Development for Hilton, emphasized her proven track record in advocacy and financial growth, while Patel, Founder and CEO of Vision Hospitality Group, noted her inspiring leadership and alliance-building abilities as essential for AHLA’s next chapter. Maietta’s appointment followed an extensive search, led by a cross-section of AHLA members and executives, and was unanimously approved by the AHLA Executive Committee and Board of Directors.
Maietta will join AHLA’s experienced leadership team, which includes Kevin Carey, who has served as interim president & CEO, and key executives from government affairs, membership, and the AHLA Foundation. Maietta previously served as Chief Communications Officer at the American Clean Power Association, where she tripled her team’s size and significantly boosted event revenue. She brings to AHLA a wealth of experience and a strategic approach to advance AHLA’s mission and drive industry growth.
