Known as the brand’s first Experience Curator, Burgess-Wright’s promotion finds her shaping the brand’s marketing and digital strategy to spark brand engagement and create a cohesive, impactful presence for Coury Hospitality as a trailblazer within the hospitality industry.
Burgess-Wright’s new role comes at a pivotal moment for Coury Hospitality as it continues to grow its portfolio of award-winning lifestyle hotels and independent restaurants across the country, with the recent announcement of seven new hotel openings and developments in its pipeline.

In her previous role as Vice President, Marketing & Digital Strategy, Burgess-Wright spearheaded Coury Hospitality’s recent brand refresh, revitalizing the company’s image and strengthening its market presence. Her visionary leadership has enhanced brand recognition and solidified Coury Hospitality’s reputation for redefining hospitality industry standards.
Burgess-Wright joined Coury Hospitality in 2007 as a Marketing Associate at Colcord Hotel, based in Oklahoma City. Throughout her 17-year tenure, Burgess-Wright advanced through several promotions as she developed and employed her marketing and e-commerce experience, and subsequently cultivated first-class marketing and digital strategy expertise. She became Executive Director, Marketing & Digital Strategy in 2021, and Vice President, Marketing & Digital Strategy in 2023.

As a result of the efforts of Burgess-Wright and her marketing and digital strategy team, the company has become renowned for its signature experiences and exceptional service. Last year, The National, Autograph Collection in Oklahoma City, was honored with the Biggest Marketing Splash Award for 2023 from Marriott’s Autograph Collection for Burgess-Wright’s team’s dynamic approach to igniting brand engagement via social media channels and public relations. The National was also honored with a prestigious OK Addy Award, reiterating the exceptional quality and creativity of its marketing efforts.
