Chef Miguel Bautista’s journey into the culinary world began in his hometown of Miami, where he was drawn into the kitchen by necessity and began his career as a food runner. His passion for cooking was ignited by early family gatherings and has been honed through a diverse career path, including pivotal roles in a Jewish kosher restaurant, a coastal European establishment, and as a private chef for affluent figures. His profound respect for culinary arts was deepened while working under Chef Makoto, a former sous chef to the famed Chef Morimoto, at a renowned Japanese restaurant.
Miguel joined Perry Lane Hotel in 2022 as Chef de Cuisine and quickly proved himself as an indispensable leader in the kitchen, leading to his current promotion. His approach blends traditional techniques with innovative fusions, influenced by the diverse cultures and heritages of his culinary team. With a commitment to offering modern takes on French cuisine, Chef Bautista aims to create an unparalleled dining experience that reflects the spirit of Savannah while pushing the boundaries of culinary excellence.
