Novotel Sydney Darling Square has announced the appointment of Andrew Hills as its new General Manager. Stepping into the role in April, Andrew will lead both Novotel Sydney Darling Square and its adjoining venue, Pumphouse Sydney. In his position as GM he will be looking to capitalise on the Darling Square precinct’s work/life locale, ensuring the ongoing financial success of the property while maintaining a high level of team morale and guest experience.
Andrew brings with him an esteemed background in hotel management, having been with Accor for over 26 years. During this time he has held the role of General Manager at a myriad of properties across New South Wales including Mercure Penrith, Mercure Sydney Parramatta, ibis Sydney Darling Harbour and most recently Novotel Sydney Central.
“I am extremely excited to now be a part of the Novotel Sydney Darling Square and Pumphouse Sydney team. I am looking forward to engaging with our guests and staff, bringing to life the vibrant energy of the Darling Square precinct and positioning the property and venue as the place of work, stay and play,” he said.
Novotel Sydney Darling Square, located in the heart of Darling Harbour, boasts stunning and recently renovated adjoining venue Pumphouse Sydney, originally built by Sydney & Suburban Hydraulic Power Company back in 1891. The hotel itself is known for its innovative guest offerings and partnerships with local shows and events within the Darling Square precinct.
