SH Hotels & Resorts, the sustainable hotel brand management company that operates 1 Hotels, Baccarat Hotels, and Treehouse Hotels, is pleased to announce Frank Sorgiovanni’s appointment as Vice President of Development (Asia Pacific).
With notable expertise in brand positioning and extensive experience across key markets in the region, Sorgiovanni is poised to spearhead new business opportunities in the Asia Pacific region across each of the company’s esteemed hotel brands. He will pursue new development opportunities, offering expert guidance as SH Hotels & Resorts actively expands its presence throughout the region.
In joining the SH Hotels & Resorts global development team, led by Senior Vice President of Development, Abhay Bakaya, Sorgiovanni brings a distinguished background in the hospitality industry, honed through years of leadership as Head of Development Asia Pacific at Six Senses Hotels Resorts Spas. With a proven track record in strategic advisory and research at JLL, a leading professional services firm specializing in real estate and investment management, Sorgiovanni has demonstrated his adeptness at navigating complex negotiations and forging strategic partnerships.

As the Vice President of Development, Sorgiovanni will source and execute deals in the Asia Pacific region to drive the company’s growth. He will play a pivotal role in evaluating potential opportunities and negotiating management and branded residential contracts.
SH Hotels & Resorts is rapidly expanding its presence in Asia Pacific. The company launched 1 Hotel Haitang Bay (Sanya) in 2020 and in early 2025 will open 1 Hotels & Homes Melbourne, a breathtaking waterfront sanctuary situated on the Yarra River. Additionally, Treehouse Hotels will open Treehouse Adelaide in 2027, which combines the spirit of Australia’s lively coastal city with the brand’s whimsical ethos.
