Aqua-Aston Hospitality announces Casie Riopta’s appointment to general manager at Aston Islander on the Beach. One of the closest resorts to the ocean on Kauai, Aston Islander on the Beach is a peaceful retreat set on six acres of tropical floral gardens amongst the Island’s lush Coconut Coast. The property features plantation-style architecture, numerous leisure amenities including an oceanfront pool with whirlpool spas and proximity to Kauai’s most popular attractions in the lively town of Kapaa.
In her new role as general manager, Riopta leads overall strategy and daily operations that directly impacts the success of Aston Islander on the Beach. She works closely with guest relations associates, maintenance and facilities teams and back-of-house colleagues to ensure an overall positive stay. Riopta is also responsible for developing and maintaining professional relationships with current and potential owners.
Riopta brings over 10 years of hospitality experience to the role, including five years at Aston Islander on the Beach, where she held roles of increasing responsibility at the property. Riopta began her career in hospitality as a guest services agent and rose through the ranks, most recently serving as Aston Islander on the Beach’s owner services representative and hotel manager. Riopta also worked with Aqua-Aston Hospitality’s parent company, Marriott Vacations Worldwide, where she was recognized with the 2021 ‘Excellence Always’ award in her position as quality assurance executive at Marriott’s Kauai Beach Club.

Born and raised on Kauai, Riopta enjoys building relationships with visitors and locals alike by sharing personal recommendations on top Kauai experiences. Riopta is eager to continue fostering excellent customer service at the property through her recent promotion. In addition to specializing in hospitality, Riopta also holds her Hawaii Real Estate License, offering a unique perspective when strengthening relationships with property owners – a key part of her position.
