Raffles and Fairmont Doha has hired Shamsa Al-Fahad as the executive director of talent and culture.
The luxe Qatari hotels said that Al Fahad’s hire falls in line with its commitment to celebrating local talent and providing the Qataris employment opportunities.
Prior to joining Raffles and Fairmont Doha, Al Fahad worked as human resources country head at HSBC Bank Qatar. She spearheaded the development and execution of human resources strategies in alignment with the bank’s overarching business objectives.
Previously, she led the recruitment & training unit at Alrayyan for Media & Marketing Co. Her career also encompassed positions like IT senior administrator and human resources manager, showcasing her ability to balance technical roles with human resources management.
She has also been assistant human resources manager and senior human resources specialist at Gulf Bridge International QSTP-LLC, where she excelled in developing budgets, managing recruitment, and nurturing employee growth. Al Fahad’s expertise further extended to Qatar Shell GTL W.L.L. and Qatar Shell Service Company, where she notably served as a human resources business advisor and as a recruitment coordinator, respectively.
