The Woodstock Inn and Resort appoints Melissa Sheffer to Director of Rooms

In her new position, Sheffer will have oversight of all rooms division operations including front desk, bell services, concierge, public space cleaning, gift shop, and reservations with a heavy focus on housekeeping operations.

Her understanding of these standards will play a crucial role in ensuring that all team members are well-versed in delivering the highest level of service and attention to detail,” she continued.

Sheffer joins the Woodstock Inn & Resort from Jay Peak Resort, where she served as director of rooms and community engagement. Sheffer has also held leadership positions at numerous other resorts, including Topnotch Resort & Spa in Stowe, VT, the Enchantment Resort and Mii Amo Spa in Sedona, AZ, Westin Riverfront Resort and Spa in Beaver Creek, CO, Luxury Suites International in Las Vegas, NV, and Tropicana Hotel and Casino, Las Vegas, NV.

Sheffer holds multiple certifications in hospitality including Certified Rooms Division Executive (CRDE), Certified Hospitality Housekeeping Executive (CHHE), Certified Hospitality Department Trainer (CHDT), Certified Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL). She holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Nevada – Las Vegas.
