Mauna Kea Resort appoints Diana Su as Director of Marketing and Public Relations

Top Hawai’i destination Mauna Kea Resort—comprised of the historic Mauna Kea Beach Hotel, the contemporary The Westin Hapuna Beach Resort, and the luxury vacation rentals and residences at Mauna Kea Residences—is excited to announce the appointment of Diana Su as Director of Marketing and Public Relations for the entire Mauna Kea Resort portfolio. 

 “We’re thrilled to welcome Diana to our Mauna Kea ResortOhana and are excited to see her passion and creativity enhance our marketing and public relations team,” said Bradley Doell, Director of Sales & Marketing. “Her unique skillset and experience in various markets along with a deep understanding of Hawai’i’s diverse culture and history will help steward our next stage of growth while carrying our legacy of Hawaiian hospitality.”  

 Bringing over 20 years of professional experience in marketing and communications, she previously worked for the Waikiki Beach Marriott Resort & Spa as the senior marketing manager, where she led marketing and communications strategies for the relaunch of the resort’s multi-million-dollar renovation. Before this, she held the position of marketing and communications director for the Pearlridge Center, the second-largest shopping center in Hawai’i, has served as the chief of marketing and public relations at the U.S. Air Force Base in Tokyo, Japan, and has held roles with Starwood Hotels & Resorts, and Wyndham Worldwide. 

 As Director of Marketing and Public Relations at Mauna Kea Resort, Su will continue to solidify the Mauna Kea brand as a household name and a must-visit destination through the implementation of marketing strategies and public relations planning. In her new role, she will also manage property marketing objectives for driving topline revenue, building long-term relationships with customers and the community, interfacing with regional brand marketing and national promotions, developing content for brand awareness, and all internal and external communication through digital presence to promote resort-wide initiatives and maximize exposure for internal business units.

 Based on the Island of Hawai’i by way of Honolulu, Oahu, Su speaks fluent Mandarin Chinese and serves on the board of Honolulu Crime Stoppers. In her free time, she enjoys dancing the hula, muay Thai boxing, outrigger canoe paddling, and spending time with her ‘ohana.
