Caribe Royale Orlando appoints Phil Klinkenberg as hotel manager

Caribe Royale OrlandoCaribe Royale Orlando, Central Florida’s only AAA Four Diamond all-suite meetings resort has officially announced Phil Klinkenberg as Hotel Manager. In his role, Phil will directly oversee the resort’s Food & Beverage and Rooms Division operations. Caribe Royale Orlando is emerging from a $127 million reimagination which includes a full remodel of the resort’s 1,217 one-bedroom suites, the new 50,000 square foot Palms ballroom, redesigned lobby spaces and elevated dining options including the expansion of the resort’s signature restaurant, The Venetian Chop House and the opening of the new Rum Bar featuring Bacardí® Rum. In addition, the resort boasts 120 2-bedroom villas, 5 restaurants, 2 pools, and a wealth of recreational amenities.

“This is a very exciting time to join the Caribe Royale Orlando team,” said Klinkenberg. “As the resort nears completion of the most significant phase of its reimagination, we are positioned to introduce a new level of luxury experiences to our guests complemented by an elevated level of warm, intuitive service aptly called ‘The Royale Treatment.’” 

Klinkenberg has over 30 years of hospitality experience holding roles of Executive Chef, Corporate Chef, VP and Director of Food & Beverage. In his previous role as Director of Food & Beverage at Loews Hotels, he was involved in the opening of three new hotel properties. He also spent thirteen years at Margaritaville where he helped the company grow from just three restaurants to over 30 properties. Klinkenberg has worked in Europe, Asia, Central America and across North America and the Caribbean.

Klinkenberg is a private pilot and is passionate about sports, travel, dining, and spending time with his family. He has been married to his wife Martha for 28 years and they are proud parents of their daughter Natalie who recently graduated from the University of Central Florida.
