In his new position, Davidson is responsible for overseeing all operations of Chateau on the Lake Resort, Spa & Convention Center. Prior to joining the 301-room resort, he served as Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Shangri-La Golf Club, Resort & Marina on Monkey Island, Oklahoma.
The 30-year hospitality industry veteran’s extensive experience also includes serving as Senior Director, Hospitality Services at the 454-room Cherokee Casino Resort/Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Tulsa, Oklahoma for more than eight years; as Corporate Director, Hospitality Services at Cherokee Nation Entertainment/Resort in Tulsa; and as Vice President of Operations for Regency Hotel Management in Sioux Falls, South Dakota for 18 years. His broad experience includes multi-faceted hotel operations, acquisitions and conversions, design expansions, brand conversions and new construction.
Davidson is a Certified Hotel Administrator (CHA) and Certified Food & Beverage Executive (CFBE), and has received numerous honors including being named “General Manager of the Year” for the state of Oklahoma by the Oklahoma Hotel & Lodging Association. He also has served as a Board Member for the American Hotel & Lodging Association (AH&LA), and as an officer of several state and local hotel associations.
