Joseph Mattioli has been named the new General Manager of The St. Regis Washington DC, a historic, luxury 172-room property two blocks from the White House.
Mattioli returns to The District with 30+ years in the lodging and culinary aspects of the hospitality industry including management positions at The Ritz-Carlton Pentagon City as well as The Ritz-Carlton Washington DC.
Most recently, Mattioli held the role of General Manager of The Ritz-Carlton Lake Tahoe where he was instrumental in reimagining the food and beverage offerings. While consistently meeting all financial metrics, Mattioli and the team were also awarded the Western Region Community Footprints Hotel of the year for three years in a row.
Originally from France, Mattioli received his Hospitality Culinary degree from the Professional Hotel and Hospitality School, Guebwiller Alsace, France. His unique ability to nurture and develop the finest aspects of the culinary and hotel management worlds acknowledges a recipe for success. He now resides in the Washington, DC area with his wife.
