Elsa S. Guttery promoted to Director of Sales at Shutters on the Beach

Shutters on the Beach has promoted Elsa S. Guttery to serve as the property’s Director of Sales. In her new role, Ms. Guttery will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of sales efforts while also assisting with marketing strategy for both Shutters on the Beach as well as sister property Hotel Casa del Mar, both Edward Thomas Collection hotels.

Guttery started with Shutters on the Beach in 2014 as a Group Sales Manager and has since worked to steadily and impressively expand a successful sales strategy and customer base for Santa Monica’s hospitality staple.

“Elsa has been instrumental in the continued success of our sales department, and we are delighted to tap such a strong leader from within our own ranks to take the helm of our sales strategies and efforts,” said Shutters on the Beach Vice President of Sales and Marketing Rebecca Huetter. “With a strong background in both communications and marketing, she offers a refreshing perspective on her industry that allows her to intuitively and effectively connect with clients and guests.”

Guttery brings a wealth of experience to her position with a career that includes more than eight years of experience in the hospitality industry supported with an additional seven years in the communications industry. Previously, Ms. Guttery served as both Director of Communications and Director of Public Relations for Langham Hospitality Group’s The Langham Huntington Hotel in Pasadena. She also held noteworthy media positions at Fox Filmed Entertainment in Los Angeles and advertising agency GSD&M in Chicago.
