Condé Nast Traveller today announced the results of its annual Readers’ Choice Awards, with Maslina Resort recognised as 23rd in the Resorts Category in “Rest of Europe”. The accolade makes Maslina Resort the only Croatian resort to feature in this year’s European resorts ranking, highlighting the growing appeal of Croatia’s sophisticated, wellness-led approach to luxury travel.

Condé Nast Traveller received more than 296,356 survey responses from readers across the United Kingdom rating their travel experiences across the globe to offer a comprehensive look at the places they eagerly anticipate revisiting. The Readers’ Choice Awards, with their unparalleled legacy as the travel industry’s longest-running and most prestigious accolades, remain the ultimate symbol and acknowledgement of excellence within the travel sector.

“Being named among Europe’s leading resorts by Condé Nast Traveller UK readers is a wonderful recognition of Maslina’s distinctive and innovative approach to hospitality,” says Maud Truchi, Founder, Owner and CEO of Maslina Resort. “It is particularly meaningful to be the only resort in Croatia included in this year’s European resorts ranking. The results also celebrate the qualities that make Hvar and Croatia so special: a profound sense of place, genuine warmth, remarkable natural beauty and a growing commitment to thoughtful, responsible luxury.”

The recognition comes as Croatia continues to strengthen its position among the world’s most desirable destinations. Croatia ranked seventh in the Countries category and ninth among Europe’s Friendliest Countries, while Hvar was named the 13th-best island in Europe in the awards’ Islands category. Together, the results underline the country’s appeal for travellers seeking natural beauty, warm hospitality, cultural depth and increasingly impressive standards of luxury.

Set within the peaceful surroundings of Maslinica Bay near the historic town of Stari Grad, Maslina Resort, a member of Relais & Chateaux, offers a contemporary interpretation of Adriatic hospitality. Its spacious rooms, suites and villas are integrated into the pine-covered landscape, with views across the Adriatic, while a private beach, swimming pools, restaurants and wellness facilities create a relaxed setting for slow, restorative escapes. The resort’s philosophy of “Mindful Luxury” places personal wellbeing, connection to nature and authentic Mediterranean experiences at the heart of the guest experience.

Hvar provides a compelling backdrop to the resort’s achievement. One of Croatia’s most celebrated islands, it combines crystalline waters and secluded coves with lavender fields, olive groves, vineyards and centuries of cultural heritage. From Maslina, guests can explore the streets and historic landmarks of Stari Grad, one of the oldest towns on the Adriatic, or discover the island’s culinary traditions, coastal landscapes and a truly Mediterranean way of life.

Maslina Resort’s placement, alongside Hvar’s strong island ranking and Croatia’s performance across the country and hospitality categories, positions the destination as an increasingly compelling choice for UK luxury travellers planning an escape to the Adriatic.
