During their second year of operation, Cora Cora Maldives has continued its journey of success, filled with more award wins, exceptional milestones, and positive impacts on people and the environment. In celebration of this momentous occasion, the luxurious resort has a month full of festivities that guests are encouraged to partake in.
The month of merriment kicks off on Sunday 1st October with the Second Anniversary Meet & Greet. Encapsulating the spirit of Italy with a classic aperitivo time, this Meet & Greet will include melodious tunes played by New Resident Djane, DJ Jénica, endless glasses of champagne, and a birthday cake. The staff and guests of Cora Cora Maldives will come together to toast another year of the luxurious resort followed by the delicious Fisherman’s Catch BBQ in TazäaÒ, a delectable buffet of a tasty melting pot of flavours inspired by the Spice Route in the east-meets-west menu of the all-day-dining venue.
Oktoberfest comes to Cora Cora Maldives! On Wednesday 4th October, the fabulous team at the resort will come together with their guests to enjoy a wide selection of international beers and other Oktoberfest-themed delicacies against the yellow and orange hues of the Maldivian sunset. Oktoberfest celebrations will continue on Thursday 5th October with the Oktoberfest Buffet in TazäaÒ featuring delicious traditional German cuisine such as sauerkraut, pretzels, and German sausages – all washed down with beer! The month of festivities concludes with the spookiest of days – Halloween. On Tuesday 31st October, guests will wake up to a resort adorned in eerie decorations, an itinerary of ghostly activities, all perfected with the Halloween Night Buffet in TazäaÒ.

This year, Cora Cora Maldives achieved a remarkable milestone by collaborating with Starboard and Blue Tiki, igniting a spark of environmental consciousness. The ‘Zen Adventure of a Lifetime’ campaign made individuals “Future Fighters” who were rewarded with BTiki Coins for their sustainable actions that contribute to a better future for all. Completion of special tasks resulted in 17 lucky “Future Fighters” being eligible for the Grand Prize of five nights at Cora Cora Maldives including flights with paid carbon offsetting.
This World Turtle Day, Cora Cora Maldives collaborated with the Atoll Marine Centre and the Olive Ridley Project to raise awareness of the dangers that turtles face every day. This year, the resort hosted an exclusive event for local schools in the Raa Atoll followed by exciting activities to educate children on the importance of saving turtles. Always innovating and never imitating, Cora Cora Maldives also rescued and rehabilitated an Olive Ridley turtle they named “Cora” who lost both front flippers due to a ghost net. Sea turtles are a critically endangered species with five of seven species being found in Maldives, and Cora Cora Maldives are committed to playing their part to protect the magnificent species.
EXCITING DEVELOPMENTS!
In an idyllic move to spread the ‘It’s Freedom Time’ ethos, Cora Cora Maldives released the Cora Cora Maldives Coffee Table Book. For just US$29, travellers can bring a piece of Maldivian freedom to the heart of their home and read about the stories of lives in the sun, sand, and sea from its Indian Ocean paradise. The beautifully illustrated book is full of breath-taking images and a wealth of colourful tales about how to throw out the rule book and do as you please to achieve a brand-new sense of personal wellness and freedom!
In August, Cora Cora Maldives popped champagne corks with the renowned Charles Duval-Leroy from the esteemed Duval-Leroy Champagne House. Charles Duval-Leroy hosted a fascinating masterclass taking guests on a journey through the history and tastes of champagne and had a selection of six Duval-Leroy Champagne on-hand for guests to sample. Charles Duval-Leroy also wined and dined guests with a delicious six-course menu, each paired with the perfect Duval-Leroy Champagne including a glass of the Femme de Champagne Brut Grand Cru with a value of €287.50 for a bottle.
