Fairmont launches global partnership with Flytographer

With holiday photography being a top travel trend for 2015, Fairmont Hotels & Resorts is making it easier to ensure that life’s special travel moments, planned or not, are worth sharing.

Guests can now hire a trusted and highly-skilled photographer at over 35 participating Fairmont locations worldwide. Whether it’s to capture that special birthday celebration or surprise engagement or simply to document a nice day touring the city, moments will forever be memories after a personalised photo session with Fairmont.

The service is being delivered through a new partnership with Flytographer, a photography service offering customised, candid photo shoots for travellers in over 150 cities around the globe.  Gone are the days of blurry family photos taken by fellow travellers and awkward selfies – that is at least for Fairmont guests who want to ensure their travel experience is as beautiful in photos as it is in reality.

“We have a long history of connecting travellers to the best of our destinations and providing them with exclusive access to meaningful experiences during their visit,” said Alexandra Blum, vice president of public relations and partnerships for the brand’s parent company FRHI Hotels & Resorts. “Now in a joint effort with Flytographer, we are introducing Fairmont guests to our destinations’ best photographers. This means Fairmont experiences can now be remembered and shared through beautiful imagery that will serve as a keepsake for years to come.”

Fairmont guests who book the service can choose between 30, 60 and 90-minute photography sessions that are specially designed for them. Guests will receive an extended library of photos and enjoy the added benefit of accessing the many beautiful settings within Fairmont hotels.

“We couldn’t think of a better hotel company to partner with to connect travelers to destinations around the world than Fairmont Hotels & Resorts,” said Nicole Smith, founder of Flytographer. “We are both committed to providing truly unique and local experiences and to delivering quality memories that can last a lifetime. It is truly a match made in heaven.”

Guests can share their experiences at Fairmontmoments.com, a new interactive website that features guest stories alongside specially curated content on travel destinations, food & drink, arts & culture and features from Fairmont Magazine. Tagging Fairmont memories on social media using #Fairmontmoments will also connect guests to the many travel experiences that take place each day around the world.

“Working with one of our photographers is like meeting a local friend, who shares insider tips, while discretely capturing incredible memories in iconic backdrops,” added Smith. “We believe that in order to truly capture memories, guests need to feel comfortable and connected to the person behind the lens. Our carefully selected photographers offer just that to deliver an unforgettable experience every time.”
