Microsoft and Google Join Speaker Line-Up at Travel Technology Europe 2019

tte 300Travel Technology Europe has announced that experts from Microsoft and Google Assistant will deliver keynote sessions at this month’s conference; the largest of its kind in Europe, taking place at Olympia London, 20-21st February 2019.

Completing the line up of 80+ speakers from leading companies, including Expedia Group, Amadeus, Sabre and Sonata Software, Microsoft’s Andrew Baxter will be sharing insights on how to ‘do technology like a boss’, while Nicolas Dussart from Google Assistant will discuss the use of ‘conversational UI in the traveller’s journey’.

The third keynote session at this year’s conference, ‘Women in tech: it’s about time’, will be delivered by Sharon Moore MBE, IBM’s Chief Technology Officer for Travel and Transportation.

This year, following feedback from the event’s 6000+ attendees, the keynote sessions have been staggered in order for visitors to attend them all if they wish, with conference director Mark Frary saying: “With so many inspiring headline speakers it can often be difficult for visitors to decide which sessions to attend. This year however, we’ve minimised the ‘fear of missing out’ by spreading the keynotes across the two days, something I know our visitors will welcome.”

In addition to the keynote sessions, attendees will hear from expert speakers on the hottest topics affecting the travel technology sector today; from AI, the Internet of Things, data and personalisation; to NDC, cyber security, voice technology and much more.

David Chapple, Travel Technology Europe group event director, said: “The range of speakers and topics at this year’s show is fantastic. We are delighted to welcome such knowledgeable and inspiring individuals from some of the industry’s leading travel brands and suppliers, who will be sharing best practice and encouraging their peers to refresh their thinking in order to generate new business.”

The conference programme also includes a series of Tech Huddles hosted by speakers from companies including AirGateway, Unbabel, Stackla and Crowdriff.

These group discussions, or ‘huddles’ of up to a dozen visitors on a specific topic, are designed to help attendees share ideas and learn from the experience of other users and suppliers.
