eHotelier is pleased to announce a broad-ranging online training agreement with Fáilte Ireland, the National Tourism Development Authority of the Republic of Ireland.
To expedite the recovery of the travel industry post-COVID-19, all Irish tourism professionals, both current and aspiring, will be able to develop skills through access to eHotelier’s CareerTrack professional development programs.
The initial 2-year agreement will see a large library of practical operational courses, as well as streams covering revenue management, digital marketing, finance, leadership, and Human Resources, made availability to those interested in working in Irish hospitality and tourism. This forms one part of Fáilte Ireland’s multi-faceted tourism careers strategy to support the industry to rebuild its staff and skills following the pandemic.
A recent Fáilte Ireland survey found that 88 percent of businesses have had difficulty in recruiting new staff and 68% of businesses have had difficulty in rehiring post-COVID-19 lockdowns.
What is CareerTrack?
CareerTrack is a continuous professional development framework endorsed by The Institute of Hospitality providing training for hospitality staff at all levels, in all departments from line staff to executive level. With more than 250-course options developed by highly regarded industry professionals, the content includes demonstrations, simulations, testing, and assessment, along with on-job application, mentoring, and peer collaboration. Reaching far beyond basic online exercises and entertainment, the coursework ensures learners are offered genuine background, context, depth, and understanding.
