At the recent Annual General Meeting of the Royal Academy of Culinary Arts, Professor Peter Jones the Dean of eHotelier Academy was invested as a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Culinary Arts for his significant contribution to the work of the Academy. This is a singular honour granted to academicians and Professor Jones now joins a group of very illustrious and distinguished Academy Fellows including Albert Roux, Raymond Blanc, Angela Hartnett and Heston Blumenthal.
The Academy founded in 1980 and now under the Royal Patronage of the Prince of Wales, grew from the British branch of the Academie Culinary de France. The primary aims of the Academy are in supporting the future of the industry through; a focus on education and training, raising professional standards and recognising and rewarding talent and skills.Professor Jones commented “ This is a singular honour to be invested as a Fellow of the Academy and I will continue to champion the cause of hospitality education and training as being vital for the industry of the future.”
Professor Peter Jones is the Dean of the eHotelier Academy. With a distinguished career in hospitality, education and training, Peter has been involved in national and international projects related to hospitality education at all levels from apprenticeships to PhD’s. He is widely published and has lectured on strategic management at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Recently awarded a Doctor of Science (Hon DSc) from the University of West London, he was made a Member of the British Empire for his services to the hospitality industry.
