The soon-to-open InterContinental Durrat Al Riyadh Resort & Spa has announced the appointment of Marc Reissinger as
general manager. He brings more than three decades of experience to the role, which puts him in charge of one of IHG’s most luxurious hotels in the area.
In his new position, Reissinger will oversee the refurbishment and relaunch of InterContinental Durrat Al Riyadh. The management agreement for the hotel was signed back in 2019, during the era of Pascal Gauvin.
Prior to the Kingdom, he was area GM for Dhaka, Bangladesh with IHG. From 2017 to 2019, he was director of operations for Wyndham’s managed hotels across MEA. Stationed in Dubai, he was in charge of 15 total hotels across the emirate, Bahrain, Qatar, KSA, Jordan and East Africa.
He has also worked in Bahrain as director of operations for the Gulf Hotels Group, and prior to that, spent three years with IHG as area GM for its Port Ghalib hotels.
For five years, from 2006 to 2011, he was with Accor as its area manager in French Polynesia. Among his earliest executive roles was with Hurghada Sofitel in 2000 where he was GM.
