This summer, Roberto Abbagnale joined Perla La Paz, Tapestry Collection by Hilton as General Manager ahead of the hotel’s opening this October. With nearly three decades of hospitality management experience, Abbagnale will oversee the hotel’s operational development as Perla prepares to welcome guests back to La Paz.
Situated on the historic site of Hotel Perla, an address that has anchored the La Paz community since the 1940’s – and widely considered the first hotel in the Baja peninsula – Perla La Paz, Tapestry Collection by Hilton, is a return to form for the legendary oceanfront boardwalk.
Abbagnale was tapped to lead the hotel based on management positions with prominent groups from Hyatt Hotels to W Hotels and Nikki Beach Hotels & Resorts. Working across Europe, Southeast Asia, and the Americas, he developed extensive knowledge of international hotel operations and hospitality leadership. Throughout his career, he has led teams through hotel openings and repositioning projects, as well as luxury sales and marketing.
With Abbagnale at the helm, Perla’s reopening marks a new chapter for the property, while honoring its significance to La Paz.
