Hilton Tokyo (Shinjuku, Tokyo, General Manager – Felix Busch) unveils two new pickleball courts at 5th Floor Fitness Center. Taking the U.S. by storm, pickleball is a dynamic racket sport that blends elements of tennis, badminton, and table tennis. Played on a court about one-third the size of a tennis court—similar to a badminton court—it offers an energetic yet accessible experience suitable for all generations, thanks to its easy-to-learn rules and minimal physical strain.

Court rentals are available from 7:00 AM to 9:00 PM, starting at ¥6,000 for 60 minutes on weekdays (¥5,000 for hotel guests) and ¥8,000 on weekends and holidays (¥7,000 for hotel guests). Additionally, professional coaching lessons are offered from ¥5,000 per person (¥3,000 for hotel guests). Guests can enjoy an extraordinary fitness experience on these rare outdoor courts, uniquely surrounded by Tokyo’s soaring skyscrapers—an ideal escape to break a sweat and refresh in the heart of the city.

Pickleball is rapidly gaining popularity across Japan, with various events and tournaments being held nationwide. Recognized as a trend to watch for 2025, this sport is not only ideal for fitness but also serves as a vibrant social activity. Whether unwinding after work, hosting a casual business meeting, or connecting with new people, pickleball offers a versatile and engaging experience. After an energizing game, players can relax and refresh with access to the Fitness Center’s locker rooms, towels, baths, showers, and sauna facilities.
