As a valued client of Nonius since 2008, Axis Hotels Group has once again contracted Nonius to provide their latest hotel with guest communication and multimedia solutions. This partnership aims to enhance guest satisfaction and the hotel operational efficiency.

Built in the heart of Oporto city stands the iconic Axis Porto Club, a historic gem restored to its former glory by Axis Hotels in Portugal. It is part of a centenary building that brings together a set of sculptures that commemorate the rich history of Futebol Clube do Porto.

This long standing partnership with Axis Hotels led to their decision for Nonius to equip this 4-star hotel, boasting 53 rooms, with its comprehensive solutions: TV, Cast, Headend, Internet, Networking and Signage.

Interactive TV, Cast, and Headend Solutions

Nonius seamlessly integrated Interactive TV and Cast solutions with the new Samsung AU800 TVs and Google Chromecasts Dongles. With these solutions, guests can easily cast their favourite streaming content to their in-room TV, enhancing their experience with a homely touch. These platforms enable the hotel to inform guests, promote its services, and reduce costs through digitalization, minimising paper printing collateral. Moreover, the TV Headend solution ensures reliable reception of TV Channels serving all guests profiles.

Internet, Wi-Fi, and Networks Management

To ensure an exceptional guest Wi-Fi experience, Nonius deployed cutting-edge Internet, and Networks Management solutions. In-room and public areas Access Points were strategically placed to guarantee seamless Wi-Fi coverage, offering guests uninterrupted connectivity. Upon logging into the Wi-Fi network, guests are greeted with a branded and customised landing page, presenting a prime opportunity for the hotel to engage with guests. The networking infrastructure is optimised with Huawei switches deployment, ensuring reliable and efficient management of the hotel’s network resources.

Digital Signage

Nonius Digital Signage enhances guest engagement at Axis Porto Club by displaying dynamic content at the reception, promoting hotel services, and providing valuable information to guests. It also reduces the need for printing marketing materials, contributing to a more sustainable and environmentally friendly operation. Additionally, guests benefit from real-time flight status updates, adding an extra layer of convenience to their stay.

Integrations and Support Services

Nonius seamlessly provided a comprehensive suite of solutions customised to meet Axis Porto Club’s specific requirements. Collaboration with 3rd party vendors, through Nonius Hub, ensured seamless integration and operation of the implemented solutions. Nonius offers Support Services like proactive maintenance, software upgrades, security audits, and remote problem resolution, along with specialised 24/7 remote and on-site support for continued excellence.
