Atomize-the revolutionary Revenue Management Software provider with its innovative hotel pricing intelligence engine-has strengthened its executive management team to accelerate global growth by recruiting former Duetto VP Philip Niemann as Global Chief Commercial Officer (CCO).
As of November 9, 2020, Philip Niemann stepped into the new Global CCO role to lead the global commercial team as Atomize ramps up its international expansion strategy to enter new markets and embrace hotel chains.
Philip will work together with the senior management team to build Atomize’s commercial infrastructure and organization. As part of the company’s strategic development, Atomize is opening an office in Singapore, to consolidate its extended footprint and be closer to the Asian hotel market.
“Atomize’s core mission over the 12 coming months is to accelerate global growth mainly across the hotel chain segment. One of Philip’s main objectives will be to develop and execute the go-to-market strategy,” says Alexander Edström, CEO at Atomize. “Philip’s diverse background, extensive hospitality experience and commercial drive resonate well with our near-term objectives and longer-term strategy in becoming the world leader in automated revenue management software for hotels.”
With more than 20 years of hospitality experience in operations, revenue management, technology consulting and sales, Philip has achieved proven success in on-property, area and corporate revenue management roles, and in expanding the presence of a global RM provider.
Niemann says: “These are unpredictable times, and having a focus in pricing and analytics is going to be key for the success of any organization embracing the revenue management discipline. Adversity in this case has only accelerated the heightened level of interaction with technology. Working with a company like Atomize, and a team that has shown to truly understand the current needs of hotels, presents an exciting opportunity to contribute to an industry I have been passionate about and a part of for the last two decades.”
Philip has extensive experience working collaboratively with hotel chains to develop and maximize solution capability, drive product adoption and achieve top line growth for hotels. He previously led the strategy and implementation of Duetto’s growth objectives in Asia Pacific (APAC) as Group Vice President APAC. Prior to this he held revenue leadership roles in property, corporate and area capacities in resort and city locations across Australia, Thailand and Singapore, working with well-known hotel brands IHG and Starwood Hotels.
Philip is a graduate of Cornell University’s School of Hotel Administration. Born in Singapore and of German heritage, Philip is native in the English and German languages and has spent more than 30 years in Asia Pacific including Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, and Australia.
