Sabre Corporation, the leading software and technology company that powers the global travel industry, announced a strategic long-term partnership with Korea’s largest hotel group, LOTTE HOTELS & RESORTS.
With this new agreement, LOTTE will be connected to almost 900,000 travel agents across multiple GDSes and over 600 online channels across the globe, through the GDS connectivity solution powered by Sabre Hospitality Solutions’ innovative SynXis platform. This will enable LOTTE to drive ambitious plans to expand its hotel portfolio, grow geographic reach and unlock future revenue opportunities.
The luxury hotel chain has been a leader in the Korean tourism industry for the past four decades and has exponentially increased its geographic footprint across the globe. With 20 properties in South Korea as well as hotels in the USA, Russia, Japan, Vietnam, Myanmar and Uzbekistan, LOTTE’s latest hotel in Seattle will be its 32nd opening.
LOTTE’s new partnership with Sabre will give the group greater visibility to travellers worldwide, with travel agents easily able to find content and book hotel stays and ancillaries using LOTTE’s unique private label chain code, LL, on Sabre’s GDS system. LOTTE will migrate more than half of its hotels to the SynXis platform, starting from this year.
“LOTTE has a long and illustrious history within Korea and the world, and we are thrilled to be part of its plans for significant further global expansion,” said Frank Trampert, Managing Director and Chief Commercial Officer, EMEA & APAC, Sabre Hospitality Solutions. “With this announcement, we are empowering a new distribution strategy for LOTTE, enabling increased exposure to global markets in line with their far-reaching expansion plans. Additionally, our solutions will enable LOTTE to further grow brand awareness in new and existing markets, manage their portfolio revenue, provide future strategy planning opportunities and refine their distribution strategies to support their exciting business goals.”
“The launch of our private label GDS chain code “LL” has been one of our key strategies to enhance brand awareness of LOTTE across distribution channels globally. We are hugely excited about how the dedicated chain code will strengthen the brand’s visibility and build a more powerful brand presence in the markets,” said Jinna Yeajin Jang, Chief Marketing Officer of LOTTE HOTELS & RESORTS. “Our partnership with Sabre, a technology provider with deep industry expertise and solutions, will bring us more opportunities to promote LOTTE and be recognized as one strong representative brand as we continue to expand overseas and become a global hotel group in the future.”
