KT Corporation (www.kt.com) has signed an MoU with MVI Systems Ltd (www.mviptv.com), a leading hotel IPTV solutions provider in the Asia Pacific region, to introduce AI services to hotels in Asia, the Middle East and beyond.

Hong Kong-based MVI Systems Ltd is Asia’s leading provider of IPTV-based entertainment solutions for hotels, hospitals, multi dwelling units and enterprises. MVI’s industry-leading solutions have been implemented in over 60,000 rooms in Asia and the Middle East, including in all major global hotel chains. MVI is a leader in IPTV innovation and has introduced a number of industry-first solutions, such as the Second Screen and cloud-based Guest Streaming Services (GSS).

Linking MVI’s and KT’s respective platforms and collaborating on R&D to continually improve the technology will provide a seamless AI-driven guest experience for hotels in Asia, the Middle East and beyond.

In July 2018, starting with Dongdaemun Novotel Hotel, KT launched its AI service at hotels such as Chosun L’Escape Hotel, Grand Ambassador Pullman Hotel, and others. KT is currently providing ‘AI Concierge’ services, such as hotel guide based on AI, guest room services, IoT control, multilingual service, among others, in partnership with domestic five-star hotels. AI hotel services include not only lighting, heating and cooling controls, but also assisted-living functions, such as alarm, transportation, weather, and many more. Services are now also available in English and will be expanded to Chinese, Japanese and other languages in the first half of this year.
