Wayfinder Waikiki officially opens with new dining concepts and public spaces in Honolulu, Hawaii

Wayfinder Waikiki, a new boutique lifestyle property at 2375 Ala Wai Blvd, Honolulu, Hawaii, has officially opened its doors. TheWayfinder Waikiki grand opening of the hotel includes the debut of all restaurants and bars by culinary partner, Foodland.

The hotel has been completely reimagined by its new steward, Dovetail + Co., owner and creator of hotels, bars, and restaurants that promote exploration and discovery led by Phil Hospod. Wayfinder Waikiki is the second Wayfinder property under Dovetail + Co., and is a 5-minute walk from the beach featuring 228 rooms as well as a distinctive selection of food & beverage venues, entertainment, and shopping experiences, including a 70-foot saltwater lagoon pool, Lost + Found, a tropical speakeasy and pool bar, and B-Side, a lite fare lobby coffee bar with a retail element carrying seasonal apparel and artwork by local artisans. The on-site restaurant, the second location of Redfish Poke Bar by Foodland, will be open all day (including for breakfast) and offers innovative made-to-order poke creations featuring the freshest fish, locally inspired dishes and cocktails served exclusively at this new location.

Honolulu-based design studio, The Vanguard Theory, designed the interiors to embrace the Brutalist architecture of the building’s roots and to create a fresh hospitality space with tropical touches and electrifying colors and patterns, alongside lush foliage. The property celebrates the rich diversity and multicultural fabric of Hawaii, with touches of native Hawaiian, Japanese, Chinese, Portuguese, Filipino, and European details all blended together throughout.

Managed by Springboard Hospitality, visitors to Wayfinder Waikiki can enjoy immersive onsite experiences specific to the region such as Ukulele and Hula introduction lessons, Lauhala weaving, and a floral arranging class. The hotel also offers exclusive off-the-beaten-path Oahu experiences specially curated with local experts and partners for the ultimate Hawaii discovery journey including Moke vehicle rentals, tailor-made 1-day itineraries, sustainable volunteer experiences, and insider neighborhood perks with local businesses.
