Utopia pioneers themed real estate in Phuket

Themed real estateUtopia Corporation, Phuket’s pioneering property developer, is successfully transforming the real estate landscape in this popular Thai destination by launching of a series of themed projects that offer exclusive and innovative residences to savvy, lifestyle-influenced investors.

An exciting and innovative company that strives to rewrite the rulebook, Utopia’s company slogan is “Dare To Dream”. In today’s social media-driven world, dreams can instantly become reality, and Utopia’s collection of imaginative villas and residences is helping to inspire a new generation of buyers and reinvigorate the market.

At Utopia Dream U2 Max, which is located close to Nai Harn Beach in the south of Phuket, Utopia had the vision of creating a multi-themed property where each of its floors offers an original concept. These included Atelier (sleek and stylish), Den (inspired by nature), Myth (whimsical and dreamy), Noir (dark and edgy), Reign (classical European elegance), Zen (Japanese minimalist), Zephyr (light and airy) and Urban (contemporary and stylish). These outstanding designs were complemented by Japanese-inspired facilities, including a restaurant, water garden, bathing area, spa, karaoke room and more.

The response from the market was beyond Utopia’s expectations; local and international buyers loved the exclusivity of the different floors, as well as the artistry and craftsmanship that created them. In fact, demand for units at Utopia Dream was so high that the company decided to use this themed approach on its next two projects: Utopia Thalang and Utopia Yamu.

Utopia Thalang is nestled in the secluded northwest corner of Phuket, close to Mai Khao Beach and just moments from the international airport. Based on the Zen theme that was so popular at Utopia Dream, this project features 129 enchanting Japanese-style villas, ranging from 84 to 150 square metres and adorned in authentic style with light colours, tatami-style bedding, traditional tea sets, kimonos and slippers, all accessed via a traditional red “torii” gateway and a surrounded by manicured gardens and a tranquil village-style atmosphere.

This ground-breaking residential development launched in March 2020 and already more than 100 of the 129 themed villas have been sold, with strong interest from Chinese, European and Australian buyers.

Utopia Yamu, the company’s ninth project, will showcase a Moroccan theme. Nestled on the island’s east coast, close to  Ao Por Grand Marina and overlooking Phang Nga Bay, it will house 81 enchanting villas (ranging from 68 to 136 square metres) with classical curved archways, tiled floors, light fabrics and white walls. With a show villa due to be unveiled in February, this property will introduce another compelling concept to the island’s real estate sector.

“Living in today’s world of Instagram, people are not just looking for somewhere to sleep or stay; they are seeking a place that will excite and inspire them. Our customers want to share their lifestyle with others, using the power of technology and word-of-mouth,” said Mr. Hachi Yin, Chief Executive Officer, Utopia Corporation.

“When we conceived Utopia Dream, we took the risk to do something completely different – something a little bit crazy. Everyone loved it so much that we decided to continue it. With Utopia Thalang, we have created a concept that is very photogenic and easy for buyers to grasp, without seeing it in real life. That’s why we have successfully sold 100 units just using video viewings and online platforms. With our fully themed projects, we are offering something that grabs the attention and delivers the individuality that today’s investors crave,” he added.

Established in 2015, Utopia Corporation has grown rapidly to become one of the largest real estate developers in Phuket, with a collection of hospitality, residential, commercial and entertainment projects across the island, along with architecture, design, engineering, construction and hotel operation services. It operates three own-branded hotels in Phuket: Utopia Kata, Utopia Loft, and Utopia Naiharn, which was named as Asia’s “Top Emerging Hotel” in the Now Travel Asia Awards. It also recently unveiled plans to launch a luxury boutique hotel in partnership with the legendary Italian label, Tonino Lamborghini.
