MP Hotels confirms that two of its hotels in Spain are currently housing military and healthcare workers in the Spanish Canary Islands archipelago as they work to contain the COVID-19 virus.
As part of its firm commitment to humanity, MP Hotels is providing where necessary its support in this global fight. The 2-properties from its portfolio are BEX Deluxe Suites, located in the center of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, and Club Caleta Dorada in Fuerteventura.
“We must all take part in this global fight in however way we can,” said Roula Jouny, CEO of MP Hotels. “The more we do, the quicker we will get out of this upsetting situation.”
By facilitating a place to stay to these frontline COVID-19 warriors, MP Hotels is not just providing them with a temporary home to regain their strength, but also minimizing the chances of further contagion. Since, without such an option many could potentially infect their relatives. After all, these professionals have a higher risk of contracting the virus due to their constant exposure.
“Coming up with ways to reduce the spread of COVID-19 is more important than ever”, said Jouny. “Through this participation, we are helping achieve this.”
MP Hotels announced the closure of all its establishments on March 19 to ensure the safety of its guests and employees. It expects to open them again to the public on May 1st.
“I am confident that we will take a turn for the better,” said Jouny. “However, we all need to do our part to achieve this.”
