$5M refurbishment of Amora Hotel Riverwalk to open

The glamorous makeover of the ground floor of Amora Hotel Riverwalk Melbourne, on Bridge Road, Richmond, is almost complete with a complete reconfiguration of the space to include brand new public, dining and function spaces.

The $5M refurbishment design by the renowned Technē Architects has included new reception, lobby, lobby bar, restaurant (The Reserve Restaurant), courtyard/courtyard bar, as well as exterior canopies, signage and lighting on Bridge Road, will be launched on the 30th of November 2019.

The refurbishment also included the complete retransformation of the former marquee area into an Events Pavilion featuring an astounding green roof, with a capacity for up to 350 people (and many smaller spaces that can be booked in a number of different configurations.

And, to top off the makeover, the hotel will be joined by a new Executive Chef, Sumit Kumud (previously Executive Chef of Amora Hotel Wellington), who will oversee all new function and dining menus.

According to hotel General Manager, Tim Bilston, this makeover sees the boutique hotel taken to the next level in food and beverage, as well as public spaces.

“We now have spaces that will appeal to every customer. Our restaurant and bar areas really embrace the modern Melbourne feel, and our new menus which are launching soon are exciting and innovative.”

“The new function spaces are so flexible, they can be used for weddings, events, cocktail parties or conferences… with the addition of the events pavilion space that can be split into 3 separate spaces as well as 4 new private dining areas, we can accommodate everyone.”

“Coupled with our 111 guest rooms and suites, and our location on the Yarra River, just a stone’s throw from the CBD, MCG and Richmond’s buzzing heart, it has really made us a unique destination for locals and visitors alike,” he said.
