Shedir Collection is strengthening its management structure and embarking on a new phase in its growth journey with the appointment of Simone Giorgi as CEO and Executive Asset Manager.

Giorgi’s appointment reinforces the Group’s vision for an increasingly integrated model, in which hospitality, development, asset enhancement, operational performance and brand growth come together within a single strategy.

The new role is designed to support Shedir Collection through a further phase of consolidation and development, strengthening its position within the Italian and international luxury hospitality landscape and creating new growth opportunities for both the portfolio and the brand, in close coordination with Eduardo Safdie, founder of Shedir Collection, and partners Dario Di Domenico and Gianluca De Micheli.

AN INTEGRATED VISION FOR THE FUTURE OF SHEDIR COLLECTION

In his dual role as CEO and Executive Asset Manager, Simone Giorgi will contribute to the Group’s strategic evolution by bringing together entrepreneurial vision, managerial discipline and an in-depth understanding of high-end hospitality.

Particular emphasis will be placed on asset enhancement, portfolio development, improved performance, brand positioning and the identification of new strategic opportunities.

The strategy also encompasses the development of PropCo/OpCo models, fostering closer integration between ownership, investment, hotel management and the development of the brand experience.

OVER THREE DECADES IN LUXURY HOSPITALITY

With over thirty years of experience in international luxury hospitality, Simone Giorgi has held positions of increasing responsibility across hotel management and high-end hospitality.

Drawing on a well-established background in Food & Beverage with Lungarno Collection and Park Hyatt Milano, he served as Director of Operations at Starhotels Luxury Collection, with responsibility for properties in Italy and abroad, before moving on to General Manager roles at prestigious hotels including Il Salviatino, Villa Cora and J.K. Place Capri.

In 2018, he returned to lead Park Hyatt Milano, helping to further consolidate the hotel’s positioning while simultaneously holding a prominent role for Hyatt in Italy as Chairman of the Board, with involvement in the development of light-asset models and franchise agreements.

In 2024, he received the internationally acclaimed Virtuoso Hotelier of the Year award and was more recently appointed an Officer of the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic (OMRI). In 2025, he assumed the leadership of Orient Express La Minerva in Rome.
