Auberge Resorts Collection is delighted to announce the appointment of Edward Leenders as the new General Manager of the property, heralding a new era for the renowned Geneva hotel, ultra-luxury hospitality brand Auberge Resorts Collection’s first location in Switzerland.

With an accomplished career spanning over 25 years, Edward Leenders brings extensive experience in luxury hospitality to The Woodward, Auberge Resorts Collection, having held senior leadership roles at some of Europe’s most celebrated hotels. Prior to joining The Woodward, Auberge Resorts Collection, Edward served as Managing Director at Corinthia Grand Hotel Astoria in Brussels, where he led the high-profile reopening of the historic Grand Hotel Astoria. Before his tenure in Brussels, Edward was Managing Director at Hotel De L’Europe in Amsterdam, where he successfully repositioned the landmark hotel. Under his leadership, the hotel earned widespread acclaim, and its fine-dining restaurant Flore was awarded two Michelin stars and a Green Michelin Star.

The Dutch national and graduate of Hotel School The Hague and Cornell University also spent over a decade with Rocco Forte Hotels, holding senior roles at Hotel Savoy in Florence, Hotel Amigo in Brussels and Brown’s Hotel in London. His international career has taken him to luxury hospitality posts across the United States, Jordan, Seychelles, the UK, Croatia and beyond — making him the ideal candidate to guide The Woodward Auberge into its next chapter.

“As we continue this exciting new chapter for The Woodward, Auberge Resorts Collection we are delighted to welcome Edward as General Manager,” said Mo Elbanna, Executive Vice President of Global Operations, Auberge Resorts Collection. “Edward’s passion for excellence, creative vision and extensive international experience will be invaluable as we further solidify The Woodward’s position as one of Europe’s finest hotels.”

It is the only hotel in Geneva to hold the prestigious Three Michelin Key distinction and is home to a constellation of exceptional dining venues, curated by The Bastion Collection, including Geneva’s only Two Michelin Star restaurant, L’Atelier Robuchon, Le Jardinier, and Bar 37. The property became part of Auberge Resorts Collection this year, joining the collection’s curated portfolio of 30 one-of-a-kind hotels and resorts worldwide, as the ultra-luxury hospitality brand continues its thoughtful and strategic expansion into Europe. The property joins Collegio alla Querce, Auberge Resorts Collection, that launched in Florence this March, Domaine des Etangs, Auberge Resorts Collection in France, Grace Hotel, Auberge Resorts Collection on Santorini and Cambridge House, Auberge Resorts Collection, opening in the heart of Mayfair, London in early 2026.
