The Langham, Gold Coast is delighted to announce the appointment of Stacey Plaine as the new Director of Marketing & Communications, effective 28th April 2025.
A passionate brand builder and award-winning marketing and PR specialist, Stacey brings over 14 years of luxury
hospitality experience to her new role. Throughout her career with Marriott International, she has driven the commercial success of leading hotels across the UK, Europe, the Maldives, Japan and Australia. Her strategic marketing leadership has supported all aspects of hotel performance—spanning rooms and suites, meetings and events, weddings and spa offerings. Stacey has also specialised in the development and launch of more than 30 distinctive restaurants and bars globally.
Most recently, Stacey held the role of Director of Marketing at W Brisbane, where she continued to build her reputation for creativity, innovation, and leadership in the luxury hospitality sector. She successfully cultivated brand-aligned partnerships across fashion, beauty, wellness, beverage and the arts, while championing sustainability initiatives.
Throughout her career, Stacey has demonstrated a deep understanding of the evolving dynamics of luxury hospitality marketing, combining strategic thinking with a creative approach to brand storytelling. Her expertise will play a critical role in reinforcing The Langham’s positioning as a leader in luxury, while enhancing the brand’s presence both domestically and internationally.

Beyond her impressive professional achievements, Stacey has demonstrated a strong commitment to leadership and diversity initiatives, serving as co-chair of the ‘Women in Leadership’ board for Marriott International’s 50 ANZP hotels, in partnership with UN Women.
