Kessler, a visionary hospitality group rooted in the Southeast has welcomed brand and communications executive, Angela Showley, as vice president of marketing & revenue. In this role, she is responsible for leading the brand’s marketing strategies in addition to overseeing revenue generation across its entire hospitality portfolio, including Kessler’s Grand Bohemian brand. Selected for her extensive experience in spearheading impactful marketing and communications initiatives, Angela is charged with further elevating Kessler’s reach by increasing engagement with current customers while capturing new audiences.
Bringing over 24 years of experience in digital marketing, social media, advertising and PR across the travel and hospitality industry, Angela specializes in creating influential campaigns and partnership strategies for new resort launches as well as re-invigorating legacy brands through dynamic tactics. Most recently, Angela oversaw the marketing and public relations department for leading luxury tour operator, Classic Vacations, where she assisted in the launch of a new, digital age experience. Prior to her role at Classic Vacations, Angela held various leadership positions at Marriott, including vice president, global brand marketing, social and PR, where she oversaw the company’s largest luxury and premium brands in markets such as US, Caribbean, Mexico, Europe and Asia.
Angela holds both a master’s in business administration with a concentration in marketing from Colorado State University and a bachelor’s degree in journalism with a concentration in Public Relations from the University of Georgia. She has also acquired two certificates, including a PESO Communications Model certification from Syracuse University and the Certified Hotel Digital Marketer (CHDM) certification from the Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International.
When she’s not busy building brands, Angela enjoys spending time with her family and practicing her several wellness pursuits, including Ashtanga yoga.
