TJ Helms has been appointed as Director of Group Sales at the Thompson Denver, the two-year old lifestyle hotel in Denver’s vibrant LoDo neighborhood!
Helms, who has been with Hyatt Hotels & Resorts his entire career, continues his 13-year legacy with the brand following his latest role as the Sales Manager and Director of Group Sales at the Hyatt Regency Denver/Grand Hyatt Denver. There for 6.5 years, he was a 2023 Hyatt Commercial Services Director of Group Sales of the Year Nominee.
Helms’ career began at the Hyatt Regency Chicago wearing a variety of hats from housekeeping to front office and sales. He moved to Maui in 2014 where he was the Sales Manager at Andaz Maui at Wailea Resort, and later was Sales Manager at the Hyatt Regency Austin.
In his new role at Thompson Denver, Helms will oversee group and event sales efforts, event planning, marketing, PR and hotel activations. Helms notes, “I am honored to continue my career with the Hyatt brand and to join the phenomenal team at Thompson Denver, who has done incredible work since the opening two years ago.”
Originally from Cary, IL, Helms and his wife currently live in Littleton, CO with their son where they love to hike, ski, run, cook, garden, explore national parks, watch sports, and travel.
