Steve Janicek appointed Managing Director of Omni Mount Washington Resort

Omni Hotels is pleased to announce the appointment of Steve Janicek to Managing Director of the Omni Mount Washington Resort and Bretton Woods Ski Mountain. With nearly 30 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Janicek brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to Omni Hotels. In his new role, Janicek will continue to drive forward the resort’s longstanding mission of delivering unparalleled guest experiences while maintaining an energetic environment for all employees.

Before joining Omni Hotels, Janicek most recently served as the General Manager of The Ritz-Carlton Bacara, Santa Barbara and had worked with The Ritz-Carlton brand for nearly two decades. His extensive background includes roles at various mountain destinations such as Vail, Beaver Creek, Aspen, and Coeur d’Alene Idaho and Vermont. Steve’s passion for mountain resorts began in Sugarbush and Mad River Glen. Before transitioning into general management, he had a successful career in Sales and Marketing in Denver, Palm Springs, Phoenix, and Laguna Niguel.

A native of Madison, Wisconsin, Steve is a graduate of Humboldt State University. He is not only a dedicated professional but also a family man; having been married to his wife Tree for 32 years and the proud father of three children and soon to be grandfather to six granddaughters.

Omni Mount Washington Resort is New Hampshire’s largest ski area, boasting 464 acres of skiing and snowboarding on 63 trails and 35 glades and offering countess activities including alpine skiing, Nordic skiing, terrain parks, ski & snowboard schools and ski groups. Built in 1902, the resort’s design incorporated some of the most cutting-edge innovations of its age, including a steel-frame superstructure, an electrical power plant, and a sophisticated internal heating system.
