Timbers Company, a leading developer and operator of boutique luxury resorts and private residence clubs, has appointed Darrin Griffin as chief development officer. In his new role, Griffin is responsible for identifying opportunities aligned with the brand’s expansion goals, as well as overseeing the company’s current expansion, including the addition of new residences joining Timbers Resorts’ collection as well as its sister brand, Soleil Hotels & Resorts – a forthcoming collection of authentic hotels, resorts and residences situated in distinctive, intriguing locales.
Griffin brings more than three decades of experience in real estate and construction, holding leadership roles with RMC Property Group and Kelsey Construction. Previous to these roles, he served in the US Navy as a radiological controls supervisor on the USS Norfolk, a fast attack nuclear submarine, and as an instructor in the prototype training unit. Most recently, he co-founded HGR Construction, where he was able to grow the company from inception to $350 million in annual construction.
Griffin holds an Associate of Science in Applied Construction Technology from Valencia College and has pursued advanced studies in Applied Nuclear and Mechanical Engineering. He is a Florida Certified General Contractor (CGC 150490) with 25 years of certification. In his free time, Griffen enjoys fishing, scuba diving, great food, craft beer, traveling, and giving back to his local community of Orlando, Fla.
