KSL Resorts has named Dhruv (DJ) Jain, a seasoned commercial real estate and hospitality industry professional, its director of investments and business development. In his new position, Jain is charged with managing deal flow and underwriting to help grow and diversify KSL Resorts’ portfolio.
With a strong background in finance, commercial real estate, asset management and hotel operations, Jain was most recently vice president of Stratton Road Realty, overseeing the entire investment management process from sourcing, underwriting, acquisition due diligence to asset management and disposition for the Orange County-based real estate solutions company. He was vice president of investments at Skeiron Real Estate – where he oversaw the acquisition of 15 hotels nationwide – as well as a hospitality investment consultant for REVPAR International and a food and beverage manager for Trump International Hotel & Tower.
According to Michael Palmeri, senior vice president and chief investment officer of KSL Resorts – which invests in and manages world-class destination resorts, hotels and clubs – Jain offers an optimal mix of hotel operations, consulting, asset management and transactional experience, making him an ideal team member as KSL Resorts focuses on future growth.
“DJ is coming in to play a key role in the evaluation and transaction of new investments on behalf of KSL Resorts and our respective capital partners,” says Palmeri. “Not only does he bring a diverse professional background, DJ brings great energy, an analytical mindset and strategic thinking to further our growth initiatives.”
Jain holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in hotel management from Kendall College and an M.B.A. in finance and real estate from Georgetown University. Additionally, he holds a Swiss diploma from Les Roches’ International School of Hotel Management.
