InterContinental Buckhead Atlanta – the leading luxury hotel in Atlanta’s affluent Buckhead community – proudly announces the appointment of George Terpilowski as General Manager to its executive team. Boasting over three decades of industry experience, the hospitality veteran will play a significant role in the hotel’s continued success, overseeing all aspects of the 422-room property, including everything from financial performance and guest experience to reinforcing the brand, while maximizing revenue and maintaining focus on strategic goals.
Terpilowski’s extensive career is underscored by his experience in managing independent and branded luxury landmark hotels and resorts across the United States, the Caribbean, and Mexico. He started his career at Grand Heritage Hotels, managing The Brazilian Court in Palm Beach, Fla., The Union Station Hotel, in Nashville, Tenn., and The Clift in San Francisco. From there, he was appointed General Manager of the AAA 5 Diamond, Jefferson Hotel, in Richmond, Va. After joining Fairmont Hotels & Resorts in 2002, he held several leadership roles including General Manager of the Fairmont in Washington, D.C., and Managing Director of The Fairmont Southampton in Bermuda with regional oversight of the Hamilton Princess, Fairmont Royal Pavilion in Barbados and the Fairmont Mayakoba in Mexico. He most recently hails from the Fairmont Copley Plaza in Boston where he also had regional oversight of Raffles Boston and The Plaza Hotel and Sofitel in New York and Sofitel Philadelphia at Rittenhouse Square.
