Montage Deer Valley is pleased to announce the appointment of Scott Gubrud as Director of Sales & Marketing. Bringing with him nearly
three decades of leadership experience in luxury hospitality, Gubrud will be responsible for overseeing the resort’s sales and marketing team, in addition to their continued growth and development, as well as repositioning the resort following its renovation.
“We are thrilled to welcome Scott to the Montage Deer Valley family,” said Joseph Mattioli, general manager of Montage Deer Valley. “With his extensive sales & marketing background, leadership experience, and results-driven attitude, Scott will be a great addition to our executive team, helping build on the exceptional service the resort is known for.”
Gubrud joins Montage Deer Valley from EPIC International, a full-service meetings and events company in Scottsdale, Ariz., where as President and CEO, he oversaw all operational functions and client management, focused on corporate meetings and events, incentive travel and travel management.
Prior to his time with EPIC International, Gubrud spent more than 20 years leading the sales & marketing efforts at properties in Colorado’s Vail Valley including Four Seasons Resort Vail, Park Hyatt Beaver Creek Resort and Spa, Vail Cascade Resort & Spa, and more. During his time in Colorado, Gubrud also sat on the board of the Vail Local Marketing District Advisory Council and served as President of Destination Colorado.
Born and raised in St. Paul, Minn., Gubrud earned a bachelor’s degree in finance and marketing from University of Colorado Denver.
