The London EDITION’s Head Sommelier, Giuseppe D’Aniello brings a wealth of knowledge to his role with over ten years of experience in the wine industry.
Hailing from Italy, Giuseppe’s passion for wine began at a young age, watching his father sample bottles at the family table. Having gained his Diploma Level 4 WSET in 2018 and becoming Certified CMS in 2019, Giuseppe had a notable role at The Lanesborough, before joining The London EDITION as Head Sommelier earlier this year.
A runner-up in The Best Sommelier Competition in 2022, D’Aniello has already had an impact on the exciting and unique wine selection available for guests to explore at The London EDITION and Berners Tavern. Giuseppe and the team have curated a specialist list of up to 800 labels, covering most regions of the world, including India, Israel and Copenhagen. Alongside this, they have also incorporated the very best English wine producers, all differentiating in flavour based on the region the grapes are harvested, and bottled in the UK.
Exclusively dedicated to wine, champagne and dessert wines, Giuseppe has also continued the tradition of helming the luxurious drink trollies at Jason Atherton’s, Berners Tavern restaurant. Readily available to offer personalised suggestions, Guiseppe and the team are able to provide bespoke wine pairings tailored to the guests using his exceptional palate and passion for wine.
